COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

CHAR-GRILLED OPEN FLAME COOKING RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Pre-heat grill to about 450 degrees and pre-season steaks before cooking.
  • Place steak on pre-heated grill and cook 2 to 6 minutes depending on desired doneness.
  • Follow suggested cooking times below; steaks should be flipped 3 to 4 times to evenly cook.
  • Flip steak and cook 2 - 6 minutes.
  • Flip again and rotate 45 degrees for diamond marks; cook 2 - 6 minutes.
  • Repeat flip and 45-degree rotation for additional diamond marks; cook 2 - 6 minutes.
  • Flip steak and cook to desired doneness. Check temperature with a thermometer.

12 OZ NEW YORK STRIP

RARE: 7 - 8 min 120° - Cool center, red interior

MEDIUM RARE: 8 - 10 min 130° - Warmer center, red throughout

MEDIUM: 10 - 12 min 140° - Warm, pink center

MEDIUM WELL: 12 - 14 min 150° - Hot, slightly pink center

WELL DONE: 16 - 18 min 160°+ - Hot, fully cook throughout


14 OZ NEW YORK STRIP

RARE: 8 - 10 min 120° - Cool center, red interior

MEDIUM RARE: 10 - 12 min 130° - Warmer center, red throughout

MEDIUM: 12 - 14 min 140° - Warm, pink center

MEDIUM WELL: 14 - 16 min 150° - Hot, slightly pink center

WELL DONE: 16 - 18 min 160°+ - Hot, fully cook throughout
